Concrete Line Pump Hire in Adelaide

When builders, concreters, and project managers talk about "hiring a concrete pump" in Adelaide, they mean wet hire — the pump truck arrives with an experienced operator who manages the equipment from setup through to washout. That's exactly how we operate. We do not offer dry hire (equipment only) because an unmanned concrete pump on a live pour site creates serious risk of equipment damage, line blockages, and concrete wastage.

Our truck-mounted line pump is maintained to a high standard and ready for bookings across all of greater Adelaide. Whether you're a concreter who needs a pump for a specific residential job, a builder running a programme of slabs, or a project manager on a commercial site who needs reliable pump coverage — our hire service is set up to work with your schedule.

What's Included in Our Pump Hire

  • Truck-mounted line pump — modern, regularly serviced pump with 50mm and 75mm hose options depending on mix and volume requirements.
  • Experienced operator — our operator handles all pump setup, priming, operation, and washout. They work to your pour team's pace and communicate clearly throughout.
  • Hose run and setup — we lay the hose from the pump to your placement point, adjusting position as the pour progresses.
  • Line priming — cement slurry priming before concrete enters the line, preventing blockages and wasted material at pour start.
  • Post-pour washout — thorough line flush with water after the pour. We take responsibility for leaving the line clean.
  • Supplier coordination — we liaise with your concrete supplier to synchronise truck arrival timing with pump readiness.
Wet Hire vs Dry Hire — Why We Only Offer Wet Hire

A concrete pump operated by someone unfamiliar with the equipment risks serious blockages, damaged hose, and wasted concrete loads. The operator's role — knowing when to adjust pressure, reading the concrete's behaviour in the line, managing hose bends under load — is not something that can be briefed in five minutes. All our hire includes the operator because that's the only way the service works properly.

Who Hires Our Line Pump

Independent concreters — tradespeople who carry out the labour (placing, screeding, finishing) but need a pump for a specific job. We're often the preferred pump for sole-operator concreters who need reliable coverage without being tied to a large company.

Small to mid-size builders — residential builders who manage their own concrete ordering and need a pump operator they can rely on across multiple jobs in a programme. We have ongoing relationships with several Adelaide-based builders who book us regularly.

Pool builders and landscapers — for pool shell pours, retaining wall footings, and garden hardscaping where a pump is the most efficient delivery method.

Owner-builders — homeowners managing their own residential construction who need to organise a pump alongside their concrete order and concreting trade.

Line Pump Hire FAQs

No. All our pump hire is wet hire — the truck-mounted pump arrives with an experienced operator who manages the entire pump operation. This is the industry-standard approach for concrete pumping and the only safe way to run a pump on a live pour site.
We handle the timing coordination with your concrete supplier. Once your pour is booked and the supplier confirmed, we liaise directly with their dispatch to ensure the truck arrives after our pump is set up and primed. The concrete should never arrive before the pump is ready — this avoids costly extended waiting on the agitator truck.
Yes. Builders running a programme of residential slabs often book us across multiple weeks. We recommend locking in your programme dates as early as possible during the busy spring and early-summer period. We'll hold confirmed dates in our schedule once your programme is confirmed.
Concrete supplier delays happen occasionally. If the agitator truck is significantly delayed and we need to wait on site, a waiting time rate may apply. We'll discuss this with you transparently before it becomes an issue. Our operator will stay on site within reasonable limits to ensure the pour proceeds once the concrete arrives.
